UO Sweater (Circa 2004), UO cardigan, BCBG tee, Fossil Belt, Gap Pants,
Matisse Boots, BCBG Bag, Coach Watch
I told you I'd bring back this sweater (here) and I'm sure it'll keep coming back. I love it and I've had it for years. I got it for Christmas in 2004. I remember this because that was the year that The O.C. was in it's second season and Rachel Bilson wore this exact same sweater in the Chrismukhah episode. Lo Bosworth also wore it in an episode of Laguna Hills. My gosh, doesn't that seem light years away? Either way, my sweater has held up and it's absolutely perfect for the season.
There's not a lot of items in my wardrobe that have stood the test of time and I really want to change that. I'm starting to look at one's wardrobe as more of an art collection than I ever have before. Perhaps it's my new foray into blogging, but I feel more aware of building a wardrobe that contains more memorable pieces.
I've been trying to experiment with mixing prints a lot more. I was always a bit scared and intimidated to actually play with the style but I got the urge for it recently. I think the similar color pallet really mixes the stripes and floral print well and this vintage-inspired belt brings it all together.
What do you think about mixing prints? Have any good examples? Let me know. :)
I love the mixture of sweaters here.
