Remember last month's color club post? Well I'm making it a monthly reoccurrence. I wanted to get the readers and the blogging community involved in sharing their favorite nail polish colors here on i wander, i wonder and so, here is our first contributor!
My wonderful friend and nail polish swapping buddy, Kate, has put together her current favorites for you. Check them out and let us know what you think!
Also, don't forget to enter my very first giveaway! You know you could use an extra $35 to buy your holiday gifts this year ;-)
I love Parlez Vous OPI for Fall, but I think it works for any time of year. It's a smoky-ish mixture of gray, purple and brown and is a sassy alternative to black and navy for an edgy, sophisticated look. This is definitely my go-to polish.
Playa del Platinum from Essie's Resort Collection is another one of my faves. I haven't been bold enough to try it on my fingers, but I found it to be an amazing pick for a pedicure this past summer. It looks really pretty on tan toes. As it's name suggests, the shade is platinum and looks beautiful with multiple coats for the best opaque look.
This color is definitely a burst of color in my otherwise neutral collection. Essie's Splash of Grenadine is my favorite go-to color when I want to be a little more bold with my nail color. It's a very pretty pink with just a hint of lavender. Again, with Essie it's best to layer on multiple coats for the pigment to come through, as the polish can be a little thin.
These are the polishes I'd love to add to my collection...
Jade is the New Black by OPI is my most recent favorite. I got a manicure recently and this color looked so amazing against my skin. I got four compliments on the shade in the first day I wore it! I had two coats applied and the result was somewhere between a hunter green and jade. Very pretty as a Christmas season shade as well as for spring.
I can't help but be drawn to dark, moody colors. This shade, Paradoxal, by Chanel is super pretty. It's a great dark purple with a ton of shimmer. I usually don't like shimmery polish but this one just draws me in.
I really like the idea of yellow nail polish, but I think it takes the right person to pull it off. This shade is Bumster from Butter London. I'd have to try this out before splurging, but yellow is a great way to brighten up a dark collection, especially for a mid-winter tropical vacation.
I'm also totally loving Minger by Butter London. It reminds me of pumpkin pie and I'd love it for the remaining days of fall and the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Described as a burnt orange shade, this is another way to brighten up any outfit.
I actually had a really hard time choosing favorites from Butter London. All of their colors are so rich and beautiful. At $14 each, they're affordable enough to splurge on a couple. I know what I'm doing today!
Love that purple Chanel!
