Today I had a lovely pad thai lunch with my good friend Kate. (Kate shared her color club polish picks with us in this post here.) We went to Penny's Noodle Shop in Oak Park, one of our favorite places to grab a bite together. Once after a spring break cruise and a very exhausting trip back that included two planes, a shuttle, an "el" ride, and a walk back to my apartment in the cold without any coats we found comfort in our favorite pad thai joint and it forever sealed our love.
Post lunch, I took Izzie out for a walk and dragged my sister out to grab some snapshots of what I wore. I brought my own winter coat that I purchased in LA but since it is vintage suede with faux fur I've been having the hardest time finding a cleaner. Instead, I've found solace in one of my mom's old coats; also suede with a faux fur lining. It is incredibly warm and soft and the huge hood makes me happy. I've also been rummaging through my mom's things and pulled out this Italian glass bead necklace she purchased when she worked in Italy in the 90's. I'm trying to kidnap it back to LA with me but shh... don't tell.
I also snapped a shot of Kate after lunch since we exchanged christmas gifts and I got her the lovely cowl she's wearing from Yarn Plus Yarn. Look closely at her nails while she is adding chili paste to her pad thai. She's wearing Butter London's Minger, one of her color club picks!
Stylish girls. ;)
