Like an American Girl

I threw this outfit together along with the hair-do on a whim on Friday. My hair has gotten to that "haircut-much-needed" stage and this little braided look was rather my last savior to keep it maintained. You know we all get there...

I didn't really think of it to be a big deal but everyone in the office had something to say about it. From Heidi, to Polish Princess, many nicknames were thrown around but none were as priceless as when we addressed the fact that I was looking like the American Girl, Kristen (as in the American Girl books). As a girl, I felt like I could relate with this particular character as she was the Swedish Immigrant, and though I'm not Swedish, I am a blonde immigrant, too, so the hair was totally on point. Then, when Sarah decided to do some photoshop magic, we learned that even my outfit resembled Kristen's! Needless to say, we had a good laugh.
