I love the fall. I've been proclaiming it for years; my favorite season. I was always one of those nerdy kids who actually looked forward to the first day of school. There was so much excitement to me in how new it would all be. Sure, as with all change, I was nervous but there was always something more to me in the magic that this was a season of transition and anything was possible.
With school came reading. And so, every fall, I found myself sucked into the foreign literary lives of people all over the world and I loved every minute of it. They inspired me, they made me want to see the world and meet people. With another fall approaching us, I've picked up yet another book to usher me through it. I'm rereading Ernest Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises and channeling the spirit of a few travelers, crossing paths, finding experiences, and moving forward.
For that's what fall is about to me: Transition.
My September Issues have been coming in. Fashion's editorial hour. Yet another inspiration. So of course, I'm dreaming out some outfits. Definitely inspired by my current read. I'm going to try to make the blog more creative and possibly do some outfit posts in the spirit of my favorite fashion blogs. Any suggestions?
Either way, here are a few of my fall insiprations.
yay for bringing the blog back! :]
ReplyDeletewhich fall issues do you think are the best so far? i didn't pick any up yet..
i've gotten the Elle and the Lucky and I'm waiting for my Vogue to come.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you read lucky, but i've been reading it since it came out (probably) and this was the first issue i was really disappointed with. It's normally so true to Lucky nature but this September issue wasn't anything special, not very much inpiration. Not even very fashion forward. It made me sad.
The Elle has been great so far, it's very thick and doesn't dissapoint where high fashion is concerned. So I'd recommend checking that one out.
and I'm glad you like the blog back! i'm excited for it's revival!
